History
Poundridge Nurseries was founded in the 1920s by Vincent Pasciuti, an Italian immigrant and small business owner from New Rochelle. In subsequent decades his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren have worked at and run the nursery in his vision. Prior to Pasciuti buying the land, it was owned by the family of Major Lockwood, the leader of the Pound Ridge Militia in the revolutionary war, and took part in a notorious British raid. Two of the original buildings still stand as our store and a home, both of which are now historic landmarks.
